Arts Centre Socks

About this project

I was approached by the Arts Centre Shop in Christchurch to design a range of socks inspired by the heritage buildings of the Arts Centre precinct. The brief was to take inspiration from the architectural details and atmosphere of the historic site, and translating these into contemporary, wearable designs. I explored patterns found in tiles, decorative motifs, and the surrounding landscape to create designs that felt both playful and rooted in place.

The final outcome was three sock designs:Tile Treasures and Artscape, produced in cotton, and Heritage Blossoms, produced in merino. Each design reflects a different aspect of the Arts Centre while remaining practical and accessible for everyday wear.
